Why local?

It’s healthy – for you AND the environment. Local means your food travels less, which saves on carbon emissions. And many local producers are ecofriendly, employing organically-sound farming practices. It’s sustainable – for the whole community! Every dollar you spend buying local products nurtures the people you live and work with every day. When we keep our money in the community, it bolsters resources for all of us. We want to know what goes into our food and we want to support our community with our dollars.

Why the Co-Op?

When you become a member of the Co-Op you become a part-owner in Glens Falls’ only downtown grocery store. You join your friends, neighbors, farmers, and local merchants in bringing fresh, local food to our community.
